Every grape has a destiny. Some become jelly. Some become raisins. But a brave bunch dreams of something more...

The Grape Escape follows a cluster of rebellious California grapes determined to escape the vineyard before harvest. Their journey is filled with close calls, daring escapes, and plenty of opportunities to wine about their circumstances. Along the way they discover that life isn't always a bowl of cherries—and sometimes you have to press on when the odds are stacked against you.

With lush vineyards, rolling hills, and a finale that leaves the audience saying "holy merlot," this production blends humor, adventure, and just enough cheesy grape puns to keep everyone laughing. It's a vintage performance that proves the sweetest victories come from refusing to be crushed.

1. "California Dreamin'" – The Mamas & the Papas
The corps awakens in the vineyards as another harvest season begins. Sunlight, rolling hills, and the promise of freedom fill the air.

2. "I Want to Break Free" – Queen
The grapes realize they're destined for the press unless they escape. A fast-paced chase through the vines begins.

3. "The Great Escape" – Patrick Watson
The emotional centerpiece. The surviving grapes venture into the unknown, unsure if freedom is worth the risk.

4. "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" – Rupert Holmes
A lighthearted turn as the grapes discover the wider world beyond the vineyard. Playful melodies and tongue-in-cheek moments celebrate their newfound freedom.

5. "Don't Stop Me Now" – Queen
*The triumphant finale. The California Grapes burst onto the field in celebration, racing toward a future where they refuse to be bottled up. The production ends with a joyful company front and one last declaration: "No wine left behind!"
