Bio: The Strudel Sergeants formed out of a love of Austrian bakery desserts, mountainous terrain, and of course those little twiddly noise machines called bugles. The corps trains and practices exclusively in high elevation winter conditions, making it the world's least-OSHA compliant voluntary music organization with several climate scientists and medical personnel on permanent staff.

The Great Wars brought to mankind the most terrifying power of the universe right to the palms of comparatively insignificant apes who happened to rub two stones together tens of thousands of years ago to spark an ember. That ember never stopped growing bigger and brighter, until in 1945 a bright flash eviscerated entire population centers on a power-hungry island nation. The absurd mechanisms of war finally revealed the limits humanity had for suffering and hatred. Atomic Steps explores the chaotic progress from first fire to last flash in the Cold War as humans evolved from hairy lumps of brain cells to less hairy lumps of maniacally hateful brain cells bent on proving a point to each other nearly to the extent of total self-annihilation - with rockjazz!
