Black Gold B

Bio: Black Gold B is the Open Class developmental corps of the Black Gold organization, created to provide younger performers with a meaningful and educational drum corps experience. Serving as a stepping stone toward World Class Black Gold, the corps focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, performance maturity, and a deeper understanding of the drum corps activity.

Based in Kentucky and carrying the same identity, grit, and regional pride as Black Gold, Black Gold B gives emerging performers the opportunity to grow within the organization while competing on a shorter, more accessible tour schedule. The corps is designed for students who may not yet be ready for the full demands of a World Class season but are eager to train, perform, and represent the Black Gold name.

With a younger membership base and a developmental mission, Black Gold B emphasizes education first. Members will receive quality instruction in brass, percussion, color guard, visual performance, leadership, teamwork, and rehearsal discipline. The goal is not only to compete successfully in Open Class, but to prepare members for future opportunities with World Class Black Gold and beyond.
