Bio: Making its debut in Season 6, Inferno B is the Open Class touring ensemble of Inferno Performance Ensembles, based in Orlando, Florida. Known for its cinematic staging, molten‑red aesthetic, and precision‑driven musical identity, Inferno B represents the next evolution of Florida’s marching arts excellence.
Founded as an extension of the nationally recognized Inferno Winds indoor program, Inferno B brings more than a decade of design innovation, performer development, and theatrical storytelling to the drum corps field. Inferno Winds’ legacy of WGI Open Class finals appearances and its signature “fire‑born” visual style laid the foundation for a corps built on intensity, artistry, and relentless execution.
Inferno B made its DCI debut with a mission to ignite the next generation of performers. The ensemble blends warm, powerful brass with aggressive battery writing and modern visual design inspired by Orlando’s entertainment industry. Every production is crafted to feel immersive, cinematic, and emotionally charged — a hallmark of the Inferno brand.
As the developmental corps for the future Inferno Regiment, Inferno B serves as the proving ground for performers seeking elite training, high‑level touring experience, and a pathway into World Class competition. Show Description
Inferno B — Season 6 Debut Production
In their inaugural season, Inferno B presents Forged — a cinematic exploration of creation under heat, pressure, and precision. The field becomes a living industrial workshop where raw material is shaped into strength through motion, sound, and unified force.
The production begins in darkness, with the ensemble emerging as unrefined elements waiting to be transformed. Metallic musical textures build tension until the battery delivers the first decisive “hammer strike,” sending a visual and musical shockwave through the corps. Ember‑red and gold accents ignite across the field as the forging process begins.
Throughout the show, Inferno B embodies the mechanics of the forge. Brass lines swell with molten warmth, percussion drives with industrial clarity, and the guard paints the air with sparks of color. Staging evolves from fractured forms into increasingly cohesive structures, mirroring the transformation from raw ore to refined power.
A centerpiece “hammer sequence” anchors the production: synchronized impacts, rippling forms, and explosive ensemble hits simulate metal being shaped under immense force. As the forge reaches peak heat, the corps surges forward in glowing arcs of motion, revealing the final product — Inferno B itself, newly formed and ready to rise.
