Let me start by saying I've really enjoyed the game so far. However, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to expand the experience a bit.
One idea I have for the future is to enhance the show design aspect of the experience. I understand that judging artistic merit is subjective (and AI isn't a great judge of that anyway), and that the game should remain as objective as possible. Still, I believe there are ways to increase player choice without making scoring arbitrary. For example, players could select a design philosophy or emphasis (music, visual, guard, percussion, ensemble, balanced/focused, etc.), which would offer small strengths and trade-offs.
You could also expand the design to include a points system where players invest to increase drill complexity, staging, transitions, demand, or guard.
It might even be fun for players to choose a few musical pieces or show concepts each season. The game wouldn't need to judge the music itself, but those choices could influence design bonuses, corps identity, or fan interest.
I feel it could encourage players to focus on the creative side of building a production rather than solely optimizing scores.
None of this is meant as criticism; I've had a great time with the game. I believe adding another layer of creative decision-making could make running a corps even more immersive.
