What if we made a feature where the TOP 7 Corps get paid a LOT more ;)

(Okay, just kidding! How is everyone doing? The season going well?)

I didn't realize it was a shorter season, big oopsies on my end. Was planning to have my two non-world corps slow roll throughout the season, but I don't believe that is possible anymore. Good news is that The Order is still fighting strong for this season! Funding for our schedule is on a rolling basis as we *hopefully* keep placing well.

On the real world side of things, WGI World Championships is this and next week! My girlfriend is performing this week and I performing next week with LSM Winds! Good luck to anymore participating this year! (also GO RCC)

It does seem to make sense that top corps should get paid quite a bit more, or have some other way of making money throughout the season, rather than just at the end. I would argue that top performing corps are also drawing large audiences (who pay for tickets or merch), and as such every corps attending the event could get a percentage of ticket sales from each show. Perhaps some sort of influence mechanic could be introduced, which I believe was suggested in another thread or in the feedback submissions. The Gold, Silver, & Bronze prizes each show are a nice top-up when you get podium placement, but let's face it - $10,000 for Gold barely covers 3 members of the corp each season.

@MercySMH on a side note... You went from 85.64 to 94.70 in 2 days. With that insane of a jump of +6.63 points to take 1st place in the season, you had to have done some interesting magic to make that happen!

No magic done. My roster is the exact same as before! I’ve only tweaked my rehearsal points twice I believe.

I think I just started really low for some reason, and as I moved on I kept jumping!

I am trying to come up with a way for getting corps more money but I also want to prevent a scenario where strong corps only get stronger and lower corps will never get a chance to compete. Theoretically this will happen organically by spending wisely and getting better staff and members, but with staff/members leaving or aging out and the possibility of losing money from fundraisers it should theoretically help level the playing field so that even top corps/organizations can have down years.

I am working on a bus system where you can buy buses for your organization - also tying in having to budget for gas and mileage between shows.. with better buses giving more benefits for the members. Hopefully this will be pushed out before the start of the next season.

Once the bus system is launched I will see about adding some kind of system for merchandise sells at shows for additional income.

I'm also considering adding a pay option so if your corps goes bankrupt you can optionally pay real money to reset your corps so you won't have to wait a whole season to play again. That would be the only "pay to play" option that I would add to the site.. I don't want the game to turn into whoever spends that most money will win. Thoughts?
