Inaugural Season: Black Gold Drum & Bugle Corps joins in World Class Competition!

Season 5 marks a major milestone for Black Gold DBC as we officially begin our inaugural competitive season in Drum Corps: The Game.
Representing Lexington, Kentucky, Black Gold enters World Class with a bold identity rooted in the energy, grit, and pride of southeastern Kentucky, being named after the region’s coal energy with aspirations of one day taking gold at World Championships. Ultimately, we want to provide an educational and life-enriching experience for our Members and Staff.

For our first season, Black Gold will take the field with:
Hornline: 50 members
Drumline: 15 members
Pit: 17 members
Color Guard: 20 members
Drum Majors: 2 members
Total Performers: 104
Black Gold’s Season 5 production is titled:
“Unity in Diversity”

July 10 — Parade of Arlington — AT&T Stadium — Arlington, Texas
July 13 — Brass Bash Gathering — Mercedes-Benz Stadium — Atlanta, Georgia
July 15 — East Coastal Classic Miami Gardens — Hard Rock Stadium — Miami Gardens, Florida
July 17 — Symphony of Baltimore — M&T Bank Stadium — Baltimore, Maryland
July 20 — East Momentum Pittsburgh — Heinz Field — Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
July 22 — Symphony of Detroit — Ford Field — Detroit, Michigan
July 23 — Coastal Classic Championship Series — Soldier Field — Chicago, Illinois
July 24 — North Marching Fest Showdown — U.S. Bank Stadium — Minneapolis, Minnesota
August 1 — Midwest Ann Arbor — Michigan Stadium — Ann Arbor, Michigan
August 2 — East Velocity of Sound University Park — Beaver Stadium — University Park, Pennsylvania
August 3 — Rhythm on the Expo — Ohio Stadium — Columbus, Ohio
The corps will also attend DCI Prelims on August 6, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As a first-year corps, Black Gold enters Season 5 with no previous awards, no scoring history, and everything to prove. That makes this season more than just a debut. It is the foundation of a new corps identity, a new competitive journey, and hopefully the beginning of something special.
Black Gold is ready to take the field.
Season 5 is where the story begins!!
