It could be cool to have vendors for each aspect of a show (maybe keep it broader for this purpose, because it could quickly get excessive).
For example a Music Arranger, Drill Designer, and Program Coordinator that we can contract each season. Music Arrangers could each offer a list of unique shows that all have different pros and cons. Maybe Example Music Designs offers 3 shows for groups under 100 members that give a small bonus to your Brass and Front Ensemble potential cap but at the cost of slightly lowering your Music Ensemble potential cap (a show designed to compliment a smaller group but smaller group have less sound/impact as the tradeoff). A different "company" could offer shows that are known for their Drumline and Front Ensemble writing providing boosts to those caps at the expense of brass, so on and so forth. For drill maybe Placeholder Drill Solutions offers different tiers of services that provide increasing boosts to Visual based on the $$$ amount they cost - slight boost = small cost. Program Coordinator could provide a small boost to Visual Ensemble maybe at the cost of a slight reduction in one of the music areas.
Introducing variability to it where maybe one week a scenario happens where your Music Arranger edits the brass book and it generates one of a few different outcomes. Maybe one outcome is that the change are positive and lead to a .5 point boost in your Brass caption for that week's shows. Maybe another outcome sees the changes go negatively and lowers your Brass caption by that amount instead. I think that randomly generated scenarios where we have to solve different problems could be a great way to keep things interesting and fresh.
I don't know if that makes sense or not, but I think anything that increases the depth of the game and make it even more of a challenge to field the best show would be good!
